I winced as often as I chuckled when watching the "Comedy Central: Roast of Pamela Anderson" on DVD. There was plenty of raunchy humor in the roast of Pamela Anderson, and the comedic material on this DVD is definitely for adults. I don't offend easily, but I have to admit that I was offended at times when I watched the DVD. Sometimes I wondered if the jokes were striving for shock value instead of humor.
There were laugh-out-loud-funny momentsespecially in the first part of the roastbut, at least for me, eventually the humor wore thin and became tedious. This might have been a more entertaining roast if it were shorter. I suspect there are just so many jokes you can make revolving around Pamela Anderson's personal and professional life before you risk trying the audience's patience.
The DVD has some bonus materials, but I thought they were inconsequential, and they didn't add much to the experience for me. Because I got a few laughs out of the roast itself, I don't regret watching it. But due to the uneven and offensive nature of the some of the comedic material on the DVD, I can't recommend it. That being said, I expect many fans of Pamela Anderson will probably enjoy this DVD more than I did.
