Guide Review - "Pulp Fiction" Collector's Edition DVDs

Set in greater L.A., "Pulp Fiction" is a dark, violent comedy that satirizes our expectations of a crime drama. The film is made up of three interconnected stories--not told in chronological order--revolving around underworld types who are the stuff of pulp fiction. John Travolta and Samuel L. Jackson play troubled hit men, and Travolta’s character is ordered to entertain the crime boss’s wife, played by Uma Thurman. Bruce Willis plays a boxer who refuses to take a dive, and Harvey Keitel is the crime boss’s problem-solving specialist. I love Tarantino’s dialogue in "Pulp Fiction," and I really enjoy the way he took crime movie clichés and tweaked them into something fresh and funny.
